Wed, 08 Dec 2010The Range Rover Evoque by Project Khan with Cosworth Power Azfal Kahn and crew do enjoy tweaking and pimping the products of Land Rover to suit the Tango-skinned inhabitants of Cheshire and Surrey. It started with the Range Rover Sport (the latest version being the Khan RS300) but now extends throughout the entire Land Rover range from the Range Rover to the Freelander 2 (the latest Khan Freelander 2 being the RS200). There is one model in the Land Rover range which hasn’t yet been the subject of Khan’s attention – the Range Rover Evoque.
Jaguar Land Rover create 700 more jobs at new engine plant
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Jaguar Land Rover has announced that they are creating an additional 700 jobs – double the original – at their new engine plant in Wolverhampton. Back in 2011, we revealed that Jaguar Land Rover were planning a new facility on the i54 development in Wolverhampton to build engines for their cars, removing the reliance on Ford’s (excellent) engines in the process. That investment was to be £335 million with 700 new jobs created in Wolverhampton – and more than 2,000 in the supply chain – but it seems that’s not going to be enough with Jaguar Land Rover sales continuing to grow at a great rate of knots.
Range Rover Sport revised for 2012
Thu, 07 Jul 2011Range Rover has revised the Range Rover Sport for 2012 – and refinement is the name of the game. It has a new eight-speed auto ‘box and a host of toys including a new 17-speaker audio system and voice command. Land Rover may talk of a focus on reducing emissions, but ironically the supercharged 510bhp 5.0 petrol V8 remains unchanged.
