Up for grabs, I have a lower unit removed from a 1982 60 HP Evinrude 2 cylinder outboard. The lower unit is in good working condition. It shifts well, and the gear oil was clean without any signs of water or metal shavings in it. There is some damage to the skeg however (as see in the pictures). This will not affect the performance of the lower unit, but it does leave the prop a little more vulnerable to damage if you were to hit something. Also, the previous owner had a hydrofoil stabilizer installed on the lower unit and broke part of the plate/fin off as seen in the pictures. The lower unit still functions great and is ready to use now. I would however inspect the impeller before installing, as I recommend that for any used lower unit. I believe this will fit 40-60 HP 2 Cylinder Johnson/Evinrudes from 1978-1988. I'm not 100% certain on the range of motors it will fit, so please be sure prior to buying. These days, it's the car I drive when it snows in Denver, and it's a reliable all-around beater. The EG Civic (as the 1992-95 Civic hatchback was designated by the factory) has become a much-sought-after classic in recent years, sort of the '55 Chevy of the early 21st century, and there's such a vast array of factory and aftermarket performance hardware available that I haven't been able to resist the idea of doing some power and suspension upgrades.
