KITTEN
ULTRALIGHT AIRCRAFT
PLANS ON CD

This CD contains a complete set of drawings ON CD for building the KITTEN UltraLight Aircraft. The CD is a DATA CD which is for use on your computer, where you will be able to view and/or print the contents.

This unique aircraft will give you the chance to build and fly an ultralight that will give you hours of enjoyment in the air, as well as attract no small share of attention while parked at your favorite landing strip!

As is the case with an ultralight, experimental, light-sport, or any plans-built or self-built craft, it is essential that you know what you are doing before you try to fly it. So, remember - training is essential.

The CD contains a set of drawings in a ZIP archive, as well as a very unique "slide show" that will enable you to view the drawings through your web browser for ease in selecting the one(s) you need to view in larger format or to print. Even though you would be using your web-browser to view the 'slide-show' no internet connection or internet access is needed to do this. Also, the Slide Show is on the CD and ready to use - you do not have to 'unZip' the Zip-Archive files!

Kitten Specifications:

Empty Wt:  250 lbs  Stall Speed:  24 mi/hr
Fuel Capacity:  5 gal.  Climb Rate: 750 ft/min at msl

In order to view and/or print the plan files in their full size, I have included the IRFAN-VIEW file utility on the CD. I cannot say enough good things about IRFAN-VIEW. It is fast, versatile, robust, and it is completely FREE. Once you use it you will agree that this is one of the best utilities for viewing and printing that's out there at any price!

You may find it to your advantage to bring the files to a professional print shop (Office Depot, Fedex Office, etc.) since they will be able to handle the L A R G E paper required by most of these drawings at full size. The easiest way to do this, these days, is to copy the files to a flash-drive and bring the flash-drive to the print shop. They will know what to do!

Please Note: The files on the CD are DATA files; this is NOT an audio CD. You will need to use your computer to view and/or print this material.

College Exhibition: Royal College of Art - GE Plasticon project

Mon, 08 May 2006

Postgraduate students at London's Royal College of Art recently presented the results of a multi-disciplinary design project in collaboration with GE Plastics. As part of the 'PLASTicon' project, 17 RCA first year MA students researched, designed and built models of concept vehicles aimed at the needs of different markets - from SUV owners to Gen-Y consumers - utilising the capabilities of plastics. Beginning in December, the students from the Vehicle Design course as well as from Textiles, were split into six teams tasked with conducting research into specific scenarios, including emerging generations and emerging markets to meet specific challenges of today and tomorrow.

New Porsche Boxster: Geneva 2012

Fri, 09 Mar 2012

The new Porsche Boxster at Geneva 2012 We catch up with the new Porsche Boxster and Boxster S (2012 – 2013) at Geneva. Looks much the same, but much improved. You’d expect the new Porsche Boxster to look like the old Boxster, not just because that’s the Porsche way but because we’ve already seen the new Boxster in photos and on video.

The BMW M5 is back!

Mon, 04 Apr 2011

BMW's M division has gone back to the drawing board with the M5, giving the fifth generation of the iconic four-door a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine—the first time Munich's class-defining performance sedan has gone without a naturally aspirated powerplant since its introduction in 1984. Further changes see it adopt a dual-clutch gearbox as part of a complete driveline rethink that resigns the old model's sequential manual transmission to the history books. Revealed here officially for the first time, the new M5 is planned to make its world debut in concept-car guise at the Shanghai motor show later this month.
