the best of your support gear.

Compared to the Custom Convertible, the Heavy Duty version sports extra structural reinforcements, deeper seat cushion, up to 5 rod holders (available in the 34" wide posts and over), an extra rod holder support bar, side hand holds, deeper and wider (as in way bigger) under the seat storage tub, and a marine grade, 304 Stainless Steel seat stay wire to better support the seat while in the open position.

This post sports anodized 1 1/2 inch diameter, schedule 40 TIG fillet welded 6061-T6 aluminum structure that guarantees strength and durability as all structural parts in our seats are welded, never screwed nor bolted together.  This super tough aluminum structure is offered here in an equally resistant powder coating that we carry in a wide gamut of colors and finishes to compliment your boat's color scheme and give it a distinguished accent.

It also incorporates a removable back rest and a cooler storage space under the seat with a 2 inch ballistic nylon securing strap, Velcro adjustable to your cooler's girth, plus a heavy duty 2 inch wide slide buckle to quickly release your cooler.

The post’s upholstery is also fully customizable and is offered in a vast color selection of the toughest, thickest gauge marine vinyl available that’s also abrasion and puncture resistant.  It covers a marine environment resistant thick gauge PVC backing over tough but resilient high density closed cell charcoal foam.

Our no holds barred material selection compliments our superior craftsmanship and uncompromising attention to detail and comes together in a high value seat that will serve you for many seasons with minimum or no maintenance needed. And to show we mean no empty boast on our claims all of our leaning posts are Lifetime Guaranteed for all aluminum and Stainless Steel welded parts and have a 90 day warranty on material or craftsmanship defects on all upholstery components.

Top Gear: Just like Milli Vanilli, says Elon Musk

Fri, 08 Apr 2011

The Top Gear boys do their best Milli Vanilli impression The ongoing spat between Top Gear and Tesla – mainly in the form of CEO Elon Musk – is still rumbling on. In fact, it’s starting to get a bit silly. You know the background; Top Gear did a review of the Tesla Roadster and implied it had a range of just 55 miles (although they did say that was on the Top Gear track), said that the motor overheated and reduced power (which they ‘illustrated’ with the Tesla slowing on a darkened track) and said the brakes broke (when a fuse had gone).
