Lucas 25d4 And 45de4 Distributors 4 Cylinder on 2040-parts.com
Clarkston, Michigan, United States
You are viewing a Lucas distributor parts group that includes a 25D point distributor and a 45DE electronic ignition distributor, along with a Piranha ignition control, both 4 cylinder. The 25D distributor has the Lucas number of 40510B, along with the number BN235 458, which I suspect is an Austin or Healey part number. The 458 is probably the 4th week of 1958 for a manufacturing date; it is missing the vacuum advance diaphragm, condenser, and thumbwheel. It was removed from a running MGB.
The 45DE distributor has the Lucas part number 41693A and a date code of 3878, which would make it a 1978/1979 distributor. It is CCW rotation and has been converted to the Piranha ignition. The vacuum advance module has the original Lucas Opus module with the wires cut off; these were very unreliable which explains the Piranha conversion. It is partially disassembled, and the vacuum diaphragm leaks. Ask any questions before bidding! |

Ford Mad Max Interceptor Concepts
Mon, 11 Jul 2011The Ford Mad Max Interceptor Concepts - on show in Oz You probably need to be the wrong side of 40 to remember the Mad Max films. But you won’t remember them for the script or dialogue. You’ll remember them for Mel Gibson (in his first starring role) and for Tina Turner playing – well, a post-apocalyptic Tina Turner is probably the best description, but they call her Aunty Entity But aside from the unlikely coupling of Mel Gibson and Tina Turner, it’s the transport you’ll remember.
