This was for a project now on the shelf, so am cutting my losses before it gets rusty or banged into! One regrind: .020" under for the main journals and .010" under for the connecting rod journals. they're were two small areas (see pics.) that didn't clean up but were considered inconsequential and not worth taking the mains down another notch. From Cape Town to London -- in a Fiat Panda
Wed, 23 Jan 2013If we wanted to break the speed record for the run from Cape Town, South Africa to London -- a quick 10,000-mile jaunt -- we'd start out by scouring the classifieds for something big and rugged. A team consisting of British rally drivers Philip Young and Paul Brace are taking a somewhat different approach.
Lancia Musa and Delta plans
Fri, 14 Sep 2007By Guy Bird Motor Shows 14 September 2007 09:55 Why should I care about Lancia – or its revised Musa? Because Lancia is returning to the UK in autumn 2008 after what will be a 14-year absence. You might care a little less about the Fiat Idea-derived supermini-MPV Musa shown at Frankfurt – as it’s only a revised model and this version won’t be making its way to these shores.
Chrysler, CAW reach tentative contract deal
Fri, 24 Apr 2009The Canadian Auto Workers tentatively agreed tonight to new concessions that will save the struggling automaker $240 million annually and help the carmaker to try to avoid a bankruptcy filing, CAW President Ken Lewenza said at a news conference. In exchange, the CAW got Chrysler and potential partner Fiat SpA to agree to keep its two Chrysler assembly plants open even if bankruptcy is unavoidable, Lewenza said. General Motors and Ford Motor Co., which signed new CAW agreements earlier, have indicated their desire to get the same concessions as those negotiated with Chrysler, Lewenza said.
