I bought a 1967 MGB GT to use parts for restoring another 67 GT. I decided to put together a kit to convert a later model MGB to the steel dash. In putting the kit together I cut out the steel cowl that goes behind the dash from end to end and through the slots for the defroster vents. I managed to keep three 0f the four vent holes. This piece will need some work but is required to do the conversion correctly. There is a cover that will hide the seam anyway. I also have a new never installed speaker console from later model British spec cars that will correctly fit the later model tunnel.

The kit includes;

The dash with glove box

Steel cowl and cover, the cover is recently replaced with a new one

New dash pad ($135 alone for a new one)

New speaker console ($140), new grill ($15), new bezel ($48) and a new wood backing plate that isn't even listed

Bracket for turn indicator lights which I don't know is available, along with other misc parts but no gauges

IF YOU WANT THAT OLD SCHOOL METAL DASH LOOK AND WANT TO DO IT RIGHT THIS IS THE KIT FOR YOU, IT HAS EVERYTHING MAJOR YOU WILL NEED!

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 05 September 2007 00:01 The Mercedes C63 AMG estate looks nice then… That is does, being better resolved and (slightly) more understated than the saloon. But don’t for one moment let the big boot fool you, because this car has 451bhp and 443lb ft. The C63’s 6.2-litre V8 is a great engine and it will rocket Mercedes’ latest load-lugger from rest to 62mph in 4.6 seconds.

Mon, 23 Dec 2013

Automakers have customization contests all the time, but that doesn’t always mean they’ll produce what the enthusiasts create. Splitting from tradition, Ford said it will build the Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon that won its Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge. The Hackmobile was designed by Jon Atkinson, Becca Steffen, Riley Harrison and Michael Freiert, members of Twin Cities Maker.
