Applications:

Mobil Special 5W-20, 5W-30* and 10W-30* are recommended for gasoline fueled automobiles and light duty trucks requiring an API SN, SM, SL or SJ. They also meet ILSAC GF-5 (Starburst Certification Symbol).

Mobil Special 10W-40 and 20W-50 are recommended for gasoline fueled automobiles and light duty trucks where a higher viscosity API SN, SM, SL, SJ oil is preferred or recommended. Mobil Special 20W-50 has a higher viscosity reserve which provides engines with full protection under higher operating speeds, temperatures, and other adverse conditions.

Before using a Mobil Special motor oils, consult the owner's manual of the vehicle for the manufacturer's recommended viscosity grade and API Service Classification.

*In order to meet corporate global product naming conventions, the product names for the SAE viscosities 5W-30 and 10W-30 only, will carry the X1 descriptor in the labels, MSDS and ExxonMobil systems: (e.g.: Mobil Special X1 5W-30 and Mobil Special X1 10W-30). A FIREFIGHTER turned midwife today at the scene of a major blaze after learning his maternity ward skills watching the Channel 4 series One Born Every Minute. Ross McLaren delivered Antoni Zimnicki, who weighed 4.16kg (9lb 2oz), after his mum Ewelina and dad Jaroslaw got stuck in traffic around two miles from the North Middlesex Hospital in north London because of the fire. Autonomous emergency braking mandatory in Europe by 2014

Autonomous emergency braking (AEB) is set to become mandatory as a result of new European regulations. From 2014 Euro NCAP – the organization responsible for conducting independent assessment of vehicle safety performance – will amend its reports and no car will gain a five-star rating without AEB. It's hoped an increased use of the system will cut down on front-end impacts as well as pedestrian injuries.
