Driver escapes unhurt in rail crash

A 67-YEAR-OLD woman motorist has escaped injury after her car went through a level crossing barrier and collided with a train. The incident happened at 6.05am today at Datchet crossing in Berkshire. Neither the driver nor the guard on the train, which was not in service, were hurt.

Most speed cameras on the M25 have not worked for five years, according to a report in the Sunday People newspaper. Of the 117-mile stretch of London’s orbital motorway, only 3.2 miles between Junctions 2 and 3 in Kent is covered by working cameras. Connecting the dots that lead to Chevrolet's as-yet-unnamed new model seems to lead back to one storied name: SS. The latest clue that a rear-wheel-drive performance sedan named simply SS could soon join nameplates such as Malibu and Suburban in Chevy's lineup came from an unlikely source: GM itself. A page on the OnStar Web site had listed the GM models that are compatible with a mobile app that gives owners remote vehicle access through their smartphones.
