Day 2 at the International CES
Wed, 09 Jan 2013If you have never seen a 110-inch, ultra-high-definition TV screen, where every molecule of digital delirium dances across the screen in pulses of pixelated promiscuity, well, you're really missing out. Samsung had one such monster screen at the corner of its booth, sporting 4000 pixels per square inch and the techno geeks swooned in front of it like the truly faithful in the front row of a Celine Dion concert at Caesars Palace. Watch new Mercedes C-class, GLA45 AMG and S600: VIDEO
Mon, 13 Jan 2014We got our first look at the new 2015 Mercedes C-class sedan last month in a series of photographs released by the German automaker. The new car does a great impression of a baby S-class with a strong front end, plenty of side-sculpting and a gentle slope to the rear, exemplified in the video above. We also get a peek at the new GLA45 AMG sport compact crossover and the S600 giant killer, all in motion.
Next-generation Chevy Volt to have 60-mile electric range?
Mon, 12 Aug 2013On the heels of the recently announced price cut for the 2014 Volt, General Motors chief executive Dan Akerson is suggesting that we may see a Volt with 60-mile electric range in three or four years. In an interview with Bloomberg, Akerson suggests that GM is hoping for a "significant" improvement in the extended-range Chevy's ability to run solely on electric power. “For something to be significant to me, I gotta get at least 20 percent improvement in performance," the CEO asserted.
