SIMPLE UNIVERSAL INSTALL

JUST BOLT ONE END OF THE STRAP TO THE TOP LEFT FRONT BRAKE CALIPER BOLT. RUN THE STRAP UP AND OVER THE NECK OF THE FRAME (BETWEEN TOP OF GAS TANK AND TRIPLE TREE) AND DOWN TO THE TOP RIGHT CALIPER MOUNTING BOLT. COMPRESS THE FRONT SUSPENSION WHILE PULLING ON THE STRAP HANDLE (THIS WILL KEEP YOUR SUSPENSION COMPRESSED AND HELP KEEP YOUR FRONT END FROM COMING UP DURING HARD LAUNCHES). WHEN YOU ARE DONE RACING, SIMPLY PRESS THE LEVER ON THE CAM BUCKLE AND YOU WILL NOW BE BACK TO STOCK RIDE HEIGHT. NO NEED TO REMOVE THIS FROM THE BIKE COMPLETELY (UNLESS YOU WANT TO) THIS WAY IT IS ALWAYS THERE READY FOR ACTION.

*NEWER STYLE BIKES WITH RADIALLY MOUNTED BRAKE CALIPERS MAY REQUIRE YOU TO USE SOME WASHERS AS SHIMS FROM YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORE TO RAISE THE MOUNTING POINT OF THE STRAP TO CLEAR THE SHOULDER OF THE CALIPER.*

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON EXPENSIVE BRACKETS!!!!

HERE IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO...

Radial brake caliper shims for lowering straps, www.SPEED-NEEDS.com this is all you need to do to make lowering straps work on bikes with radial brake mounted front calipers. Save your money and don't waste it on expensive caliper brackets that just add more weight.

*It is the buyer’s responsibility to research fitment of these straps on his or her application. Some newer bikes may require additional hardware or modifications to make work. If you are unsure then we advise you to search internet forums, chat rooms, visit your local drag strip etc. to find out for sure. The bike manufactures make small changes from year to year and it is practically impossible for us to keep up with all of them.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A BLACK STRAP!!!!!

Fiat Photo Bombs VW on Google Street View

Wed, 16 May 2012

Fiat Photo Bombs VW Fiat has managed to park a Fiat 500 right outside VW’s Swedish HQ just as Google Street View cameras pass by. Regular readers may remember Top Gear’s Stig turning up on Google Street View a few years ago as the PR team at the BBC managed to park his Stigness in front of various landmarks just as Google’s Street View cameras passed by. That little trick seems to have inspired Fiat in Sweden (although Fiat aren’t publicly admitting it) to do something similar and, to be honest, much more amusing.

College Exhibition: Coventry University MA Degree Show 2005

Fri, 20 Jan 2006

Jan 20, 2006 - 'Fifteen' was the title for Coventry University's 13th MA Design Degree Show, held at Coventry's Transport Museum December 2-9. The title signified a recurring theme: 15 Automotive Design students, 15 months programme duration for the first time, "15 minutes of fame".     Graduates from the USA, India, China, Korea, Greece, Lebanon and the UK, made for a strong international flavour in the diversity of the final designs. 2005 was sponsor Corus' ninth year of involvement with the show, and the fifth year they have held a forum to coincide with the opening of the event.

New Ferrari California T gets new twin turbo V8 with 49% more torque (+video)

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

The new California T (pictured) revealed ahead of a Geneva debut It’s been a long time since Ferrari gave one of its cars a turbo charged engine, not since the late ’80s and the Ferrari F40, but that all changes – and no doubt points the way to the future – as the Ferrari California T gets revealed ahead of a debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the V8 Ferrari build for the Maserati Ghibli, the California T’s new engine is a 3.8 litre twin turbo with 552bhp and a mountain of torque, 557lb/ft, a massive 49 per cent more than the current California produces. That improves performance marginally – 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 196mph – but has a big impact on economy; the new California T improves on the current California by 15 per cent, recording official figures of 27mpg and 250g/km.
