Nissan Qashqai 360 replaces Qashqai n-tec+ – costs from £19,945

Nissan is replacing the Qashqai n-tec+ with the Nissan Qashqai 360 Edition complete with more equipment including a 360 degree view camera. In fact, the best-selling Qashqai – the Qashqai n-tec+, which accounted for 60 per cent of Qashqai sales in 2012 – managed to out-sell the Ford Mondeo all on its own and sold more than the Hyundai ix35 and Kia Sportage combined. Hyundai makes Kia’s Peter Schreyer Hyundai design guru too

The newly appointed Kia President, Peter Schreyer, has now been made Hyundai President in charge of design too. Peter Schreyer’s success in making Kia a real design force led to him being appointed a Kia President at the end of 2012, handsome reward for the changes he’s wrought at Kia since leaving VW, turning Kia’s range of cars from stodgy to convincing in a few short years. But Kia is the junior partner in the Hyundai-Kia business, so Hyundai are obviously not totally thrilled that Kia managed to snaffle a designer who’s eye manages to so convincingly hit the Zeitgeist firmly on the head.

Coventry Industrial Design students launch projects blog

The official blog for the 2013 Coventry University Industrial Design Degree Show has launched. Featuring project updates and imagery from this year's Industrial Design undergraduates, it allows Bachelor's students to promote their work ahead of the 2013 Degree Show and lets viewers follow the progress of their final projects and college work in real-time. A monthly archive also means viewers can look back over past submissions.
