This is an OEM Nardi Teardrop wood knob from the 2000 Special Edition Miata MX-5. This knob was ONLY available on the 2000SE, 2001SE, and as a dealer package/accessory.
These weighted Nardi Teardrops have exceptional feel and heft, unlike the lightweight, top-heavy Nardi Evolution knob offered on earlier Miatas. Also, unlike the aftermarket Nardi Prestige, these are a perfect fit with no set screw - thread pitch is 10x1.25. Fit is extremely snug - no movement, no rattles, feel is excellent. Cosmetically, the condition on this one is very good, with a grid that is fully intact other than slight wear at the R - on most of these knobs, the grids are long worn off. Pictures tell the story. These knobs are very hard to come by and no longer manufactured - don't miss this one! |
