Ferrari 599 HTGE China Limited Edition

Thu, 08 Oct 2009

The Ferrari 599 HTGE China Limited Edition But time they are a changin’ (thank you Mr D.), and China has become a big market for purveyors of luxury goods, none more so than Ferrari. So sticking together a Limited Edition Ferrari for the Chinese market is an eminently sensible move for Ferrari, even if the dozen models of the China Limited Edition will be a mere drop in the ocean in a country which boasts a population of 1.3 billion and still rising. Think of it as a cut-price Jaguar XF or BMW 5 Series over in the States, offering loads of comfort, a decent turn of performance and plenty of neat safety features.

Ken Block signs for Ford and the WRC

Thu, 07 Jan 2010

Ken Block – who became a YouTube sensation with his gymkhana stunt series ¬– has ended months of speculation by confirming he’ll compete in the 2010 World Rally Championship – switching his Subaru Impreza for a Ford Focus, while he'll also rally a Fiesta in the US. The Monster energy drink-backed deal will form a key part of Ford’s plan to market its hatches in America, and follows last year’s Pikes Peak Fiesta. It’s a tentative start for Block, who’ll be competing in select rounds of the WRC championship – Mexico is believed to be the first – to hone his skills.
