NEW in factory-sealed bag with all mounting hardware and sealing gasket!

I've sold over 4000 of these online with complete buyer satisfaction! My volume means lower prices for you--the lowest shipped price on the net! Why pay high specialty pilot store prices, wait for an auction to end, or outbid some sellers' high reserves???

Specs:

  • Insulator: Annealed Teflon (superior)
  • Rod: Nickel-plated brass
  • Connector type: BNC female (most common) with gold center pin
  • Impedance: 50 ohm (all GA transponders)
  • VSWR: 1.2:1 (very power efficient) over transponder band
  • Max airspeed: 250 KIAS
  • Frequency: Covers aviation transponder and DME bands

Need more than one? Quantity discounts?

I keep hundreds of antennas in stock to meet your quantity needs. I will offer discounts for 2 antennas or above--please contact me for details or use eBay's Best Offer function with this auction.

Other features:

The dielectric (insulating) material extends out of the connector body for easier cleaning and lower loss, plus it is Teflon!  Works great to replace that antenna that has been bent one too many times, or has gotten too dirty to clean. Or, an older antenna where the dielectric material has started to break down, causing high losses and ATC to tell you they can't "see" your transponder anymore. This antenna is made in the USA.

Compatibility Questions?

Guaranteed compatible with all general aviation transponders, DME units, and transponder-based anti-collision systems such as Monroy, where the cable from the transponder ends in the common male BNC connector. This antenna fits in place of most previous monopole rod antenna installations with no modification. Contact me and your A&P or avionics shop for suggestions on mounting to composite or fabric-covered aircraft, for best coverage. I'll take any other application questions as well!

Installation tool now available:

I now have a loaner punch tool available for making perfect clean 1/2 inch holes on an aluminum-skinned aircraft, or to assist in making a ground plane disk hole for fabric or composite aircraft. This offer is available to US domestic buyers only. Subject to deposit and tool availability. Contact me for details. I will also refer buyers to suitable punch tools currently on ebay auction, on request.

Need it quick?

Caught on the ground in Class B airspace with a broken antenna? If your need is urgent, I will also ship overnight via your choice of carriers! I'm a pilot too, and understand what it is like being trapped on the ground for a part failure.

Feedback Policy:

Please--if there is a problem or complaint, tell me so I can try to rectify the problem first! I strive for 5 star performance and a positive buyer experience. If you don't feel comfortable rating me a 5 across the board, please let me know why and give me a chance to fix any issues. Feedback affects my ability to provide affordable antennas more than you might think!

BMW i & BMW i1 – BMW i9 trademarked

Wed, 22 Dec 2010

BMW MegaCity Project i We’ve know for some time that BMW are working on a  sub-brand to launch a range of City Cars under the banner of ‘BMW Project i‘. We’ve assumed that this will end up being a revival if the Isetta name to badge up the BMW city runarounds. But it looks as if that’s not the case after a pile of new BMW trademarks were posted on the e90Post forum.

Chevrolet at Geneva

Mon, 10 Mar 2008

By Guy Bird Motor Shows 10 March 2008 11:31 What’s new on Chevrolet’s Geneva Motor Show stand? There were more exciting show stands at Geneva but Chevy did muster up a small – in every sense – global unveil in the shape of the three-door Aveo supermini (the five-door was unveiled last autumn at the 2007 Frankfurt show). The smart-ish new exterior – all big grille and wraparound front lights – is a big improvement on the mundane Kalos it replaces but still a bit of a let down.

Massive 220-car Oklahoma collection to go across the block

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

It's been six months since some 500 cars from the gigantic Lambrecht Chevrolet stash found new homes, and many of them are well into their restorations. In fact, all a few needed was a new battery, some fluids, and a few hours of work to be brought back to life. Others will surely be preserved as-is, not even with their dust wiped away.
