You are bidding on one (1) NEW pair of HDM brand double layer PRO nomex racing gloves. These gloves are BLACK and size adult MEDIUM. They are SFI 3.3/5 certified. The gloves are constructed with leather padded palms, Velcro (hook & loop) wrist closure, and an elastic gauntlet cuff.

One thing you should notice with the HDM gloves is the extra layer of leather around the thumb and first finger. This provides extra grip and more wear resistance. Most manufacturers sew a single layer of leather on palm side of the glove only.

You will find these gloves to be equal to or better than any of the gloves your favorite Nascar or Late Model drivers are currently wearing such as Sparco.

As mentioned above these gloves are SFI certified 3.3/5 (ok for Nascar and most racing uses). If you plan to use these gloves for drag racing, you will need to check with your sanctioning body to ensure the SFI 3.3/5 rating is enough.

Don't be fooled by other companies claiming to have SFI certification. Unless the company is listed on SFI's website as a manufacturer, their gloves are not certified to be constructed to SFI specifications and will not give you the protection you require. Feel free to check out the credentials of HDM Company at SFI Foundation website. Click on "manufacturers" on the home page and then on 3.3 to see the list of official SFI manufacturers.

Market view: why the Jaguar XJ has an uphill battle

Fri, 10 Jul 2009

By Glen Brooks Motor Industry 10 July 2009 16:11 It’s a sobering thought for Jaguar management that no matter how good the new 2010 XJ is, it’s never going to be a big seller. The global market for large executive saloons was in decline long before the Great Recession appeared, the buyers in this segment increasingly tempted by models as diverse as the BMW X6, Infiniti FX, Cadillac Escalade or Mercedes GL-Class crossovers and SUVs. The generation that was chauffeured in an S-class or XJ is retiring, with the owner-drivers who succeed them soon to be preferring a Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide or Audi A7.
