Nos 1957 - 58 Corvette & Pontiac Fuel Injection Filter, Gf-130, Ac# 854386. on 2040-parts.com
Calabasas, California, United States
NOS brand new fuel filter for 1957-1958 Corvettes with Fuel Injection. Also fits the rare Pontiac Fuel Injection of those same years.
Never used or installed, still-in-the-box AC brand filter #GF130 or also known as #854386. As obvious in the photos, the original large O-ring has hardened and cracked/broken. The small O-ring installed on the filter's top looks fine, but I would always suggest replacing rubber parts that are this old. Note the small crack in the flange at the opening. I've seen this before on these filters, and I don't believe that it is any real problem with function, but please be aware of it before purchasing. Instructions are faded but completely legible (see photo). Box is shopworn and has handwritten note from a parts counter person mentioned some applications. |

Volvo drops plans to compete in the luxury F-Segment car market
Tue, 23 Apr 2013In fact, at the Shanghai Motor Show in 2011, Volvo delivered the Concept Universe car which we all though was pointing the way to what could be a Volvo S90; Volvo’s luxury car for Chinese plutocrats. It sported a rather strange ‘East meets West’ design language with a very odd nose and lots of curves, and it wasn’t exactly showered in plaudits. But that didn’t stop Volvo coming back at Frankfurt in 2011 with an altogether more convincing concept – the Volvo Concept You – that sported a much clearer vision for a future luxury Volvo.
New (2014) Mercedes S-Class highlights on video
Mon, 10 Jun 2013The new Mercedes S Class (pictured) boasts a wealth of technology The new Mercedes S Class was launched last month as a styling evolution of the current S Class, but with a wealth of new safety and technology systems lurking under its, still familiar, skin. The S Class may be portrayed as a bit of a ‘Merchant Bankers’ car, but anyone who’s lived with one for any period of time will know there’s really nothing quite like it (well, if you ignore the mistake that was the W220 S Class), and now Mercedes has got its quality Mojo back, the W221 is once again a very special S Class, and the new W222 promises to be even more special. We know that the 2014 S Class will get a range of engines from frugal 4-cylinder to potent V12 – with engines to suit all in between – but whatever engine you choose there will be a raft of technology at your fingertips (some at extra cost depending on the model you buy), so Mercedes has been busy producing a ‘Story’ video highlighting much of the new S-Class’s tech.
VW Golf Bluemotion concept (2008): first pictures
Mon, 08 Sep 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 08 September 2008 13:22 This is Volkswagen’s cleanest Mk6 Golf, a Bluemotion concept car that is claimed to achieve 74mpg while puffing out a paltry 99g/km. Those are figures on a par with today’s Polo Bluemotion, but this concept will become production reality in mid-2009. A 1.6-litre common-rail diesel engine powers the new Golf Bluemotion, producing 104bhp and 184lb ft, but those remarkable figures are helped by revised ratios on the five-speed ‘box, optimised aerodynamics and low rolling resistance tyres. There’s also a particulate filter to keep the exhaust gases clean.
