Toyota and Scion will be charging slightly more for certain models in 2013. And we mean slightly—the greatest change is a $500 bump up on the Scion xB and Toyota Sequoia SUV. The Camry sedan, Prius C hybrid subcompact and Scion xB utility vehicle all offer new features for 2013, causing the price increase.

Based on the same platform as the Altima saloon, the Murano’s backswept ‘boomerang’ lights, outlandish body surfacing and sharp, low-set nose are all dead ringers for Nissan’s well-received design study. Americans will be able to buy one of these eccentric lookers in late 2014, but right now Nissan is still mulling the possibility of European (yet alone UK-based) sales.

If Toyota's Scion youth brand had stuck to its original premise, the third generation of the boxy xB would be rolling into showrooms today. As envisioned by Toyota, Scion products would be quirky, uber-cool and not around long enough to get stale. Its first-edition products were replaced after just four years.
