NOS Indian TRANSMISSION CASE 1941 1942 Sport Scout 86510

New Old Stock Genuine Factory Indian 1941 and 1942 Sport Scout Transmission Case.  This is for the sprung frame Scout with rear shocks.  This case is wider on the sprocket driver side and originally used a double row ball bearing.  This has never been installed on a motorcycle.  I did not clean it up or glassbead it, it's a little dirty and dusty with around 70 years of shelf dirt.  The only thing that I see wrong is the stud for the chainguard is broken off.  These are not too easy to find in any condition.  This is for the following years and models:

1941 and 1942 - Indian Sport Scout - 641 and 642

GM disbands unit that creates high-performance vehicles

Wed, 18 Feb 2009

General Motors, focusing on mainstream products in a battle to survive, has scrapped a unit that produced high-performance vehicles. GM on Wednesday disbanded High Performance Vehicle Operations, which is based at the company's suburban Detroit technical center, and redeployed its engineers, spokesman Vince Muniga said. "All high-performance projects are on indefinite hold," Muniga said.

The Cavallino Classic-A celebration of everything Ferrari.

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Deep in the heart of winter, Florida's Gold Coast becomes the “Center of the Universe” for Ferrari fanatics as thousands of Tifosi turn out for the Cavallino Classic. Based in Palm Beach, Prancing Horse aficionados converge on the resort town that is also an island for a four-day convention celebrating the art of a certain Italian automobile. While there was a preponderance of rosso corsa (race red) on the greens, the objects of Enzo's intentions displayed a surprisingly vivid pallet that ranged from silver to yellow, to blue metallic and even Dennis Nicotra's inspiring 1953 matte black-finished 166MM, making its debut after an extensive restoration.

Jaguar X-Type: 18,000 X-Types recalled in the UK

Sun, 23 Oct 2011

Jaguar X-Type Recall - almost 18k affected over possible cruise control malfunction The Jaguar X-Type, ‘Ford’ Jaguar’s stab at mopping up sales from BMW’s 3 Series and Mercedes’ C Class, is back in the headlines, with Jaguar issuing a recall for 18,000 X-Types in the UK – around 5 per cent of the total X-Type production. The cars affected are diesel-engined X-Type models made between 2006 and the end of X-Type production in late 2009, and the recall concerns the cruise control, which may not respond under certain circumstances. To be fair to Jaguar, the issue with the cruise control failing to respond has not come to light through any complaints from owners, but from an employee of Jaguar.
