It would be tempting to start this gallery with a 1950s B-movie style 'IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE' voiceover, complete with spooky, slightly surreal sci-fi music. And such is the styling of this ETV – or Extra Terrestrial Vehicle – you might forgive us for doing so. But while the ETV can't quite zoom to the moon, it did sell on eBay for a sky-high price.

Ford to add 1,200 jobs at Chicago plant to build 2011 Explorer

Ford plans to add 1,200 jobs when it begins making the Explorer sport-utility vehicle later this year in Chicago. The announcement is expected Tuesday morning at the plant. Plans to bring the Explorer from Louisville, Ky., to the underutilized Chicago plant have been known for nearly a year.
