The clubman rev limiter from Omex features a user selectable hard or soft cut, this award winning microprocessor based design provides one of the smoothest cuts found on an aftermarket rev limiter. The limit can be set from 1,000 RPM to 20,000 RPM for 2 cylinder and 4 cylinder, 12,000 RPM for 6 cylinder and 10,000 RPM for 8 cylinder. This rev limiter is available in two options of single coil and twin coil and is not suitable for CDI ignition systems.

All Omex microprocessor based shift lights and rev limiters feature Omex's acclaimed method of calibration. Shift point and rev limit is set independently of the car's tachometer, thereby removing any instrument error by incrementing in steps of 100 RPM by simply pressing a button on the unit. Precise digital timing ensures response within one engine revolution.

The OMEX Clubman Rev Limiter is a high performance engine rev limiter. The Clubman Rev Limiter offers a switchable soft and hard cut rev limit reducing engine power safely as the user definable limit is approached.

The OMEX Clubman rev limiter is available in both single coil and a twin coil version for use on 4cyl DIS engines.

Concept Car of the Week: Mazda RX500 (1970)

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

Developed by the Toyo Kogyo Company's advanced design and engineering team, the Mazda RX-500 was described as a ‘mobile test bed for high-speed safety'. Looking at its design, the team's childlike enthusiasm has shone through, resulting in a very cool concept.  From the rakish front to the wraparound windscreen and on to the bread van rear, everything communicates high-tech and ‘70's futurism while also channeling a little of the Star Wars X-Wing. Thanks to plastic body panels, the concept weighs only 850kg and is powered by a 491cc rotary engine delivering 247bhp fitted behind the cabin, in front of the rear axle.
