This is a Orion safety flare gun kit. This kit comes in a water proof plastic case that contains a flare gun, safety whistle, mirror, and 7 flares. The expiration date on the flares are 2004 but I have been told that the flares will remain good as long as they remain dry. This kit is a must have for boaters and hikers.

German press reports that General Motors Co. is putting its European unit Opel/Vauxhall up for sale were dismissed as speculation by the division and as "nonsense" by a German state with an Opel factory. The magazines Auto Bild and Spiegel reported that GM is considering putting Opel up for sale as management is losing confidence that its European arm will return to profitability.

Like with its city car, Volkswagen is adopting the policy of using a conventional car as the basis for its electric power Golf. The German car maker is claiming a range of 118 miles after a full charge, while top speed is an acceptable 87mph and the zero to 62mph sprint takes a brisk 10.4 seconds.

Setting a world record for a Porsche 911 sold at auction, Steve McQueen's 1970 Porsche 911S went to a new owner for a cool $1.375 million during RM Auctions' Monterey event on Friday. The 911 wasn't just owned by McQueen; it also featured prominently at the beginning of the film Le Mans as the lead character, played by McQueen, drives through France reflecting on the realities of racing. Hagerty's Rob Sass and I checked out the car on Wednesday night at the RM Auctions preview.
