Item: Fits any V6 Outboard Lower Unit... Johnson, Evinrude, Mercury, Yamaha, etc. This nose cone is constructed of cast aluminum and will fit the front of a stock lower unit to reduce the angle of the gearcase housing, lengthening the transition from the gearcase nose to its trailing edge, reducing the chance of building a vacuum pocket on the side of the gearcase. The addition of this nose cone will also increase handling. It can be attached to your lower unit by either welding, epoxy, bondo or a similar adhesive. This is a very simple installation. You don't have to remove your lower unit or pull the gears out of the lower unit to have it welded and certainly not to use an adhesive to epoxy it in place. It’s a smarter adaptation of the existing Outlander plug-in hybrid road car. Mitsubishi describes it thus: ‘The Outlander PHEV Concept-S is a concept model MMC proposes as a special package of the Outlander PHEV production model that has a refined interior and exterior design that magnifies the Outlander PHEV’s unique driving experience.’ Not a huge amount to go on then.
