This one-of-a-kind Packard shift knob is hand made in the USA and has a polished solid brass design insert featuring the Packard logo and the slogan "Ask The Man Who Owns One". The knob also features a solid brass threaded insert. Also included in the auction will be one solid brass threaded adapter to fit your shifter available in the following sizes (your choice): 5/16-18, 5/16-24, 3/8-16, and 3/8-24.

The knob is a slightly translucent caramel/butterscotch color, typical of the era. It shines like a jewel. This beautiful knob feels great in the hand and is something that can be treasured for generations. Please ask any questions ahead of time as all sales are final. The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid will show at Frankfurt The principle difference between the standard Prius and this new plug-in version is – you’ll never guess – that it adds the ability to charge the Prius’ batteries through a domestic outlet. The Prius can be fully recharged in around 1.5 hours, and the new lithium-ion battery pack – which replaces the old nickel-metal hydride pack in the regular Prius – is more compact and of higher output. Toyota claim that the plug-in Prius can cover round 12.5 miles on a full charge in pure ‘Electric Mode’, which is around double that of the normal Prius.

Ford Evos Concept joins Salon Privé lineup

The 2011 Ford Evos Concept has become the latest model to join this year's Salon Privé. Held from 4-6 September, the Evos will feaure in the Concepts and Prototypes Display at the West London event, due to be held on the lawns of Syon House. When it was unveiled, the Evos Concept showcased Ford's global design language and vision for customer-focused intuitive technologies.

Renault TwinRun hot hatch concept (2013) first official pictures

Renault will show off this mid-engined supermini concept at the 2013 Monaco Grand prix race weekend. Called the TwinRun, the R5 Turbo-inspired creation is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6, and will hit 155mph flat out. The TwinRun is the latest in a series of wacky Renault concept cars, following the Twizy RS F1 and Twin-Z supermini into the limelight.
