For sale is a USED Porsche 356 cable drive tachometer that was removed from a 1964 Porsche 356.  We have tested this tachometer on a battery with cable drive motor and the needle does move.  It is date stamped 3/64.  There is some pitting on the chrome bezel as shown in the pictures.  We are selling this item as is as pictured.  Stock#121313.

Ford gets another NO on Volvo

And the beat goes on… Ford has been trawling the world’s car manufacturers (and Governments) for what seems like forever, in an increasingly desperate attempt to off-load its Swedish subsidiary, Volvo. They appear to have tried everyone from the Swedish Government to BMW and Mercedes, with a fair dose of Chinese firms in between (has Ford offered to sell it to you yet? Don’t worry, it won’t be long!) And now Reuters are reporting that yet another Chinese Car Co has declined the offer.

Edelbrock teams with Ohio Technical College to teach hot-rodders

Many of today's prominent hot-rodders and car customizers talk about how they learned their craft working alongside a mentor, turning wrenches in a garage for hours on end. Now, there's a school for that. Noted tuning-parts maker Edelbrock LLC has teamed up with Ohio Technical College in Cleveland to create the Edelbrock Academy.

Volkswagen and BYD get cosy

VW and BYD have signed an agreement to work together on developing battery technology (BYD F3DM plug-in Hybrid pictured). Volkswagen has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese car maker and EV specialist BYD to work together “in the area of electric mobility”. Seems sensible.
