Porsche Boxster Ims Bearing Kit With Housing ,new Seal And New Bearing New Clip on 2040-parts.com
Pittsboro, North Carolina, US
Porsche Boxster IMS bearing replacement. Has the numbers 996 024 00 on the housing. your numbes MUST match these for this housing to work. The bearing is NEW, The seal is NEW, the snap rings are NEW. I bought the kit for the double row parts and don't need these. I made most of what I needed. (Machinist)There are additional spacers and clips to convert the double row bearing but you would have to use your old double row hub/ housing with the shallow cup on the outside and the spirol lock ring to lock in the bearing.
Installation of this part should be left to a professional. I suggest leaving BOTH seals on the bearing and fill the intermediate shaft with synthetic oil until it overflows the bearing ID and then install the hub. This is believe was how it was done at the factory. The splash idea is suicide. Or add an oiler which in my opinion is best (its what I did). When the seals fail and the grease escapes the oil takes over and gives it that much more life.
NOTE the small metal washer in the center of the orange seal is not included with this kit. it was needed for the one I did.

The firm’s factory in the American town of Georgetown, Kentucky, will use the new method of harvesting power to both lower its own fuel bills and reduce the amount of harmful gases escaping into the atmosphere. With the system expected to be up and running within 12 months, Toyota has revealed how it is expected to work.
