This is an ORIGINAL unmolested electric power antenna from a Pontiac late 1959 or 1960 or could even be 1961.  This could fit a Bonneville, Catalina, Starchief and even a Station Wagon.  You would need to veryify this for yourself.  It works great in both directions quietly and smoothly.  The chrome mast is beautiful, straight and shiny including the screw on tip. The outer casing galvanized tube is like new and the motor casing still wears its original black paint.  The bottom mounting bracket is also included as well as the black ground strap.  The rubber angled top piece is still nice and pliable.  There are some identifying part numbers on the antenna.  On the dome motor cover is the number 595005? and patent number 2896870.  Near the top of the antenna  just below the rubber angled piece is the part number T B5650 Empire 2.  This antenna must have been removed from a low mileage car many many years ago judging by its outstanding condition. There are no signs of rust or corrosion anywhere. Included in the auction are the original 18 foot coaxial cable in perfect condition, orange power harness to the switch, and the black/white harness that runs down the length of the car.  That wiring harness has been cut and the pieces are there to put it back together. It also has some spots where the wire jacket is frayed.

Here is your chance to get the original factory antenna you've always been looking for to complete your Pontiac. This is a NO RESERVE auction.  Don't let this one get away!

Breitling commemorate ISR with new timepiece

Tue, 29 Nov 2011

Bentley's collaboration with timepiece creator Breitling is a well-established one, which stretches back years. The latest coming together between the luxury brands is in commemoration of Juha Kankkunen's world-record-breaking jaunt on the frozen Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland. Earlier this year, four-time World Rally Champion Kankkunen piloted the biofueled Supersports convertible to a – frankly incredible – top speed of 205.48mph off the coast of Finland.

The new Koenigsegg Agera will be at the Geneva Motor Show We did warn you last week that Koenigsegg were taking ‘Something New’ to the Geneva Motor Show. We had had a chat with them as things had been very quiet, and we did say to them we wondered if Christian had lost focus on Koenigsegg and been side-tracked with the whole Saab-Saga.
