Infiniti Q50 revealed ahead of Detroit

Infiniti has released an image of a new Q50 Eau Rouge concept ahead of its debut at the Detroit Motor Show on January 13. The Eau Rouge is based on the Q50 saloon, and the company says it draws inspiration from the collaboration between Infiniti and Red Bull Racing. Drivers fail car insurance test

On a 10-question, multiple-choice test asking respondents to choose correct definitions for basic auto insurance terms, the average score was 32 percent out of a possible 100 percent, according to insurance.com. The test group included 500 drivers of all ages and from various regions of the United States, but apparently no matter what the details, nobody really knows much about car insurance. When broken down into demographic segments, women outscored men by about 8 percentage points on average, and drivers in the south beat out those in the northeast by 10 percentage points.

New version of Sync turns car into mobile wireless hotspot

The next generation of Ford's Sync system will turn the car into a wireless connection hotspot. The wireless Internet connection is active when a cellular wireless card, also known as an air card, is plugged into the car's USB port. The connection can than be accessed by wireless devices in the car, such as a laptop computer or a handheld device.
