JAC SC-9 concept promises new brand identity, hi-tech interface for Beijing

The JAC SC-9 concept is the latest concept to be announced ahead of next week's Beijing motor show. A statement from the company describes this crossover as combining the "exclusivity of a luxury Gran Turismo, the flexibility of a genuine off-road vehicle and the excitement of a high performance sports car" and we're interested to see how these characteristics are brought together. Freedom Edition joins Jeep Patriot lineup for 2013

The 2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition will join the Jeep lineup alongside the Wrangler Freedom Edition as another tribute to the United States military. Jeep will donate $250 of each Freedom Edition sale to military charities. Additionally, Chrysler is offering $500 cash back on the purchase of any new Chrysler Group vehicle to active members of the armed forces and veterans .

Two thirds back young driver restrictions

TWO THIRDS of the public would like to see restrictions placed on recently qualified young drivers, according to an RAC Foundation survey. Even two in five young drivers would back a form of graduated licensing, the poll found. Those surveyed were asked whether restrictions, possibly lasting 12 months after a driving test has been passed, should be placed on drivers aged 24 or under.
