Restored Vintage 1950's Michigan Boat Trailer
I'm selling my vintage Michigan Boat Trailer by the F.A. Long Company of Benton Harbor, MI. This beautiful and rare trailer has a unique feature that lets you lower the hull down to the water by releasing hydraulic pressure. The trailer was manufactured during a time when trailering boats was in its infancy. The Interstate Highway system made it easier to tow your boat to remote lakes and rivers. This trailer design allowed you to launch a boat in shallow waters without a “modern” launch typical of public access points.
This trailer is 100% original and correct for the era. I matched the paint colors to an early Sterling boat trailer catalog. The frame was sand-blasted and primered before the final paint was applied. Check out the awesome yellow fenders! These pivot around the spindles when the trailer frame is lowered to the unload position. Everyone with a classic boat wants a Tee Nee but you are guaranteed to turn heads with this trailer under your boat.

The next McLaren supercar will be called the 650S
Wed, 12 Feb 2014We've known that McLaren has a pair of additional models in the works, including a Porsche 911-fighting, 12C-based sports car known only as the P13 and another car positioned between the 12C and the P1. Previously, we'd heard the code name “P15” tossed around in reference to that latter car, but McLaren has officially christened it the 650S ahead of its world debut at the upcoming Geneva motor show. According to the automaker, the 650S “takes learnings from both the 12C as well as the sell-out McLaren P1 [ed note: there has to be a better way to say that] and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive's supercar grid.“ We liked the 12C, and we really, really liked the P1.
Monaco Grand Prix (2013): RESULT
Sun, 26 May 2013The two Mercedes out front at the start of the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix With a Mercedes front row – and Rosberg on pole – can Mercedes finally turn their stunning qualifying in to a stunning result in Monaco? The two Mercedes out front at the start of the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix Monaco can often be a bit of a procession, with limited opportunities to pass, and the 2013 Monaco Grand Prix was no different. But it was so interspersed with accident and incident that it sidelined the boring bits to irrelevance and made for a cracking spectacle, a spectacle that ended, where it started, with Nico Rosberg taking a Mercedes win in his home Grand Prix.
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is official – just 20 to be built
Sat, 17 Sep 2011Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - it's official Perhaps the worst-kept secret at Lamborghini has been production confirmation of the Sesto Elemento, the ultra lightweight supercar Lamborghini revealed at the Paris Motor Show this time last year. As long ago as November last year we had the news that the Sesto Elemento would go in to production after a French car news site reported that Lamborghini would be building a very limited run of the cars at €2.5 million each. By May of this year we knew that Lamborghini had already started getting the Sesto Elemento ready for the first customers, and we reported that the first cars would be heading for customers by October this year at a more reasonable €1.9 million – although that’s October in Italian terms, so anything up to next Spring is possible.
