Original 1907 Thomas Flyer joins 2011 World Race competitors

The American-made Thomas Flyer, driven by George Schuster, won the world's first around-the-globe race. It was 1908, and it was still hard for a man to get around the globe, let alone the fledgling automobile. But the Thomas Flyer made the 22,000-mile trip in 169 days.

Renault Clio

This is the new, fourth-generation Renault Clio and the first production car to feature the brand's new design language under Laurens van den Acker. Its grille and lamp graphics are a clear relation to the Dezir concept first shown in Paris 2010, while the rear feature lines and lamps have shades of the Captur concept. Young drivers at risk from poor tyre care

YOUNG DRIVERS are putting their lives at risk by not looking after their cars’ tyres. A survey by Tyresafe and insurer Ingenie has found that more than a third of young drivers aged 18-25-years old had never checked their tyres for tread depth and a quarter had not checked the tyres on their car for correct pressure ever. The survey found that better education is needed to tell young drivers of the important of looking after the tyres on their car.
