VW Golf R Launched

The Volkswagen Golf R has launched at Frankfurt Update 31/10/09: VW Golf R UK Detail now released. We reported yesterday on much of the detail on the new Golf R, but the Golf is such a big deal for so many that we thought we ought to re-iterate, throw in a few pictures of the Golf R on the floor at Frankfurt and re-cap on the goodies on offer. The Golf R gets the same powerplant as the Scirocco R, but it also adds Volkswagen’s 4Motion AWD to the mix.

The BMW X6M & X5M revealed ahead of the New York Car Show [ad#ad-1] Well, this was supposed to be a big reveal for the New York Motor show, which kicks off to the paying public on the 10th, and journos a few days before. But fuzzy scans of the new BMW X6M and BMW X5M turned up on the web a couple of days ago, so it looks like BMW has decided to get the info out as soon as possible. It now seems that this is getting closer to reality, as BMW has let it be known that the range of small city cars they are working on as part of the ‘BMW Project i’ will be launched as a ‘Sub Brand’.
