This is a Tool produced by General Motors AC Division for the purpose of crimping Speedometer Cables.  The Tool Part Number is ST 23.   The tool Press is Cast Iron  with the Die made from tool steel finished machined and ground. The Tools purpose was to swedge or crimp Speedometer cables.  The die produces a square swedge or crimp to lock the cable end adapters on the ends of the correct length cable.
