Mercedes-Benz future products: Small cars to drive growth
Tue, 11 Oct 2011Mercedes-Benz's U.S. executives expect to add volume with a new range of front-wheel-drive compact cars that arrive starting in 2013 and new derivatives of the redesigned C class due in 2014 or 2015. Around the world, Mercedes will introduce at least 10 new models by 2020 as part of a plan to become the world's top-selling luxury-vehicle brand by then.
New Citroen C3 Revealed
Mon, 29 Jun 2009Citroen has revealed the New Citroen C3 According to Citroen, the new C3 gets a ‘Sportier’ design and a more robust appearence. The Citroen C3 has been precieved as a bit ‘girly’, but Citroen reckons the changes to the new C3 – including a wider track – will give it more appeal to men. The Citroen C3 is scheduled to launch at Frankfurt in September – together with its ‘Posh’ siblingĀ the DS3 – and Citroen claim it has a number of ‘Creative Technologie’ elements including the ‘Unique’ windscreen – VisioDrive – which is extended in to the roof area to create a panorama.
Car makers shun Detroit show NAIAS 2009
Thu, 27 Nov 2008By Simon Stiel Motor Shows 27 November 2008 11:28 The number of car makers pulling out of Detroit's major auto show, the North American International Auto Show 2009, is growing. The very survival of Detroit is being questioned as Congress debates the $25 billion aid package to save GM, Ford and Chrysler – and now it looks as if the NAIAS is under threat too. In the past weeks, Ferrari, Land Rover, Rolls Royce, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Suzuki have announced their withdrawal from the show, which is scheduled to begin on 11 January 2009.
