This is the cadillac of pullers. This is a snap-on product which is made to withstand abuse. The number on the legs is 4567 which identifies it as an Y4567. Snap-on made these and put both the blue-point and snap-on names on them. He showed me one of these in a 1944 snap-on catalog, man they made this same puller for a lot of years. These puppies were made to outlast the user for sure. This appears to have been well taken care of and has not been abused but you can tell from the handle it has been beat on its fair share. Try getting a rear drum off a car with a tapered axle without one of these, it is not possbile without damaging the drum. These never wear out, they are the type of tools you pass on to the kids He has pulled many a studebaker rear drum with one of these. They are adjustable and you can have two legs or 3 legs. This is usa made when they still knew how to make steel, You will not be sorry with this. This is a blue point which is made by snap-on and we all know the kind of quality these usa made tools are. There is a sping loaded mechanism in the center which allows this to work various diameter bolt patterns, for 4 or 5 bolt patterns. This is the style which is the quickest to hook up, you tighten 3 lug nuts and start turning it. No other bolts or adjustments to make. This has some wear where the hammer had beat on it but still has a lot of wear left. You can remove the legs. They also move around on a swivel to allow you to match the legs to the lug bolts. . Hard to abuse this item so it has lots of life left in it. The last listed list price on this puller is over twice the price. This supposedly has a lifetime warrenty but I do not see why you would ever need to worry about that on this tool as it is made so well. The threads are good. These are also used on the newer cars to pull some front hubs I am told. They are referred to as Universal Pullers by some also.

Le Mans regulations for 2014 announced

Thu, 14 Jun 2012

The organisers of the Le Mans 24-hour have announced a raft of radical new rules on the eve of the 2012 race - including the less restricted use of hybrid power for the top-flight LMP1 racers from 2014. The governing ACO (Automobile Club de l'Ouest) unveiled the major changes due in two years' time as the teams start the 80th 24 Heures du Mans event which runs from Saturday 16 - Sunday 17 June 2012. In order to stay in tune with our environmentally-conscious, economically-chastened times, the focus of the alterations is to improve the efficiency of the elite LMP1 cars' technology and cement a link with roadgoing hybrids, as well as making the race cars safer.

Daihatsu hits Indonesian show with eight new concept cars

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Daihatsu has launched a product offensive on the Indonesian International Motor Show in Jakarta, with eight concept cars all based around the theme ‘Compact ECO Mobility Best Friend'. As their endearingly Jenglish theme suggests, each of the cars is as compact as possible – Daihatsu is best known for producing Kei cars for its domestic Japanese market. (Incidentally the company's Tanto remains the most adorable of the Kei breed.) The UFC 2 (the blue car) is an evolution of the UFC that was show in 2012 and manages to squeeze seven seats into is handsomely contemporary body.

Preview: Fisker Surf

Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Fisker has released the first image of its new Surf vehicle, set to debut at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Focusing on continuing with the company's philosophy, 'Pure Driving Passion' - the electric vehicle with extender range is said to be akin to the Fisker Karma sedan, but Fisker has intriguingly promised a new twist. Other than this and the sole image of the Surf, details of the car have been kept secret in the build-up to this year's Frankfurt motor show. CDN will be bringing you all the details and pictures from the show next week.
