Tera Manufacturing was started in the fall of 1996 to meet the needs of the growing market for heavy duty off road equipment and suspension enhancements. TeraFlex was the first manufacturer to introduce a Jeep TJ Wrangler suspension system onto the market. TeraFlex has been professionally involved with Jeeps since the 1950's and our experience has taught us how to make them perform their best. Since the beginning of TeraFlex we have constantly added unique and innovative products to make our line what it is today. Other suspension systems also followed, and again we were the first to offer a suspension system for the Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee. Tera Manufacturing has also been an innovator in developing alternate gear ratios for the low range portion of production transfer cases from Dana Spicer and New Venture Gear Company. Tera Manufacturing was instrumental in working with the engineers at New Venture Gear Company to develop the current 4:1 ratio transfer case now in use with Jeep corporation for the rubicon edition TJ Wrangler. We are still the only aftermarket company to address the low range needs of the NV231 transfer case. With the increased demand for extreme duty axle applications Tera Manufacturing began manufacturing a new hybrid axle design that addressed the weak aspects of the Dana 60 High pinion differential. TeraFlexs' line of heavy duty axles have been designed to withstand all of the abuse and power that popular Rock Crawling competition events like UROC put them through. Early Thursday, Chevy took the wraps off the Suburban and Tahoe in New York. Meanwhile, GMC revealed the Yukon range, which includes the Yukon XL and Yukon Denali, in Los Angeles.

Tue, 30 Oct 2012Fiat is preparing a café racer-style 500 for this week's SEMA show by stripping down an Abarth version to take it "down to the essence of what you need to drive a car." The café racer philosophy of ‘more speed, less comfort' was born around the 1960s British 'biker scene and while initially focussed on increasing performance, quickly developed into a culture as concered with 'the show' as 'the go'. "It takes something like this to really get noticed at SEMA," says Craig Buoncompago, Project Manager at Fiat Product Design. "The Café Racer is really going to be one special car that you guys should really come and see." The 500's roof has been chopped, while also shorn of its door handles and being fitted with hot rod billet rims.
Young drivers at risk from poor tyre care
Wed, 06 Nov 2013YOUNG DRIVERS are putting their lives at risk by not looking after their cars’ tyres. A survey by Tyresafe and insurer Ingenie has found that more than a third of young drivers aged 18-25-years old had never checked their tyres for tread depth and a quarter had not checked the tyres on their car for correct pressure ever. The survey found that better education is needed to tell young drivers of the important of looking after the tyres on their car.
