NEW master rebuild kit for the 1966-1978 TH425 This kit contains all clutches and steel plates. Make sure you get a kit with steel plates. The cheaper ones don't have them and you "will" need them. Also included is a Transtec soft parts kit with every rubber seal and gasket that you'll need to complete your rebuild. The kit comes with a new filter, popular bushings, and a new adjustable vacuum modulator. This kit also comes with both the front and rear bands which not all kits include, but should always be changed. Remember to soak all of your clutches in tranny fluid for thirty minutes before you install them. Audi to hold Urban Future Summit
Mon, 18 Jul 2011Aiming to further the thinking initiated at the inaugural Urban Future Awards last year, 2011 will see Audi hold the Urban Future Summit on September 12 in Frankfurt, just prior to the start of the 64th international motor show. The symposium will feature presentations from internationally renowned speakers on the future of individual mobility in megacities, with participants from all over the world. The goal of the summit is to ‘build knowledge networks', focusing on the subject of "Energies - what forces will change the cities of the future?" Expert speakers such as Saskia Sassen, Carlo Ratti, Ludger Hovestadt and Charles Leadbeater will be among those who will discuss how mobility and the urban space must develop to meet the demands of future cities.

Prospective buyers were treated to a seven-hour auction of Historics’ largest consignments to date, culminating in a £2.65 million sale as the hammer fell for the final time on the day, with 66% of consignments finding new owners. Whilst no longer a custodian of the law, one of the very last 50-year old Daimler SP250 ‘Dart’ police cars, whose original home was Scotland Yard, delighted enthusiast and presenter Chris Evans, who purchased the concours-condition, award-winning example for £50,400, complete with its law-enforcing accoutrements, adding; “the kids love it; the big kids love it even more”.

But this wasn’t a hybrid 911 with a bank of batteries and a fluffy-bunny conscience, but a rampant track 911 with a great big electro-magnetic flywheel and a KERS-like thump of an extra 160bhp – the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid. The 911 GT3 R uses technology developed by Williams F1 and comprises of a pair of generators in the front wheels that shove energy to a composite flywheel (conveniently located next to the driver – not sure how well that would go down on a road0going version) which is the stored and can be thrown at the back wheels whenever the driver wants, in a way very similar to KERS.
