Pace cadets: At AMG academy, students take their finals with their right feet
Mon, 02 Nov 2009Mercedes-Benz USA launched the AMG Challenge in 2002, a program touted as "a chance to experience the thrill of driving the newest Mercedes AMGs on some of America's best racetracks." Now in its fifth year and run by the BMW Car Club of America, Legends of the Autobahn sees the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, Porsche Club of America and Audi Club North America teaming up to produce a show that’s more intimate than most other parts of the Monterey Historics week – but no less absorbing.
Abarth Punto EVO gets esseesse boost
Fri, 08 Jul 2011Abarth Punto EVO esseesse gets an extra 15 horses The Fiat 1.4 litre lump which powers the Abarth Punto EVO is already a lively little thing. Despite its rather modest capacity it manages to deliver a healthy 165bhp, enough to scoot the Abarth Punto EVO to 62mph in 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 133mph. Far from shoddy.
