Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission

Chevrolet/GMC Truck

3 Speed Auto

2.48 to 1 First Gear

1.48 to 1 Second Gear

1 to 1 Third Gear

Worked Fine when pulled from 1982 Chevy C3500 2WD.

Appears to have been rebuilt in 1993 from markings on the case.

The truck had 86,000 on the odometer when pulled but the odometer had

probably rolled over. I can't be certain of the mileage of this unit.

This trans has a fixed tail shaft commonly used in trucks

with 2 piece slip joint drive shafts.

I'm selling this trans for less than half the cost of the core charge!

This would be a good unit to use, rebuild, or turn in for a core on a new or rebuilt unit.

This trans does work but, has no warranty. It may be good to use in an older

work truck, farm truck, or plow truck that you are trying to keep operational with a low investment.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask me any

questions you may have about the item.

Mandelson to announce help for car makers

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

Lord Mandelson is the man charged with finding ways to fund UK Car purchases (yes, he of the dodgy mortgage debacle – at least he should know a few tricks!) as the credit crunch has dried up funding, leading to an unprecedented drop in new car sales in the UK. Mandelson is due to make a statement in the Lords just after 3pm today, outlining the help the government is going to offer to ailing car makers. Central to this package is expected to be a funding channel directly from the Bank of England to inject liquidity in to the car financing sector.

Honda recalls CR-V to fix control-arm problem

Fri, 23 Mar 2012

Honda is recalling about 1,300 copies of the 2006 CR-V to inspect and possibly replace the right-front lower control arm. Honda says that the part could have been made with an improper welding process. Over time the control arm could break at the weld.
