“Rare Buick Fireball straight eight cylinder engine that runs. Over head valves. 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor. Home made split intake and exhaust manifold. Factory or Edelbrock manifolds available here on eBay. Late model 1 wire alternator. Petronix Ignition. Mileage is unkown. Engine runs good and does not smoke. Oil has been changed regularly. Attached is a late model Chevy 700 R4 transmission that is in excellent working order. Transmission is attached with an adapter made by Benston Tansmission Ham Lake, MN. The adapter allows the coupling of the Buick engine to most Chevrolet Transmission. New Flywheel, Torque Converter, High Torque Starter. NO LEAKS. The transmission adapter sold for 1050.00 in 2010. This engine and transmission was run approximately 2 years in a show car and then removed. Both have been garage stored. BONUS... INCLUDED is another Buick straight 8 engine for parts. Bentley was an integral part of the 2012 Concours of Elegance at Windsor Castle and have chronicled the event in pictures. Last weekend saw the Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance event in the Queen’s weekend back garden with cars from every year of Her Majesty’s reign gathered to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Not surprisingly, a historic brand like Bentley was well represented, and Bentley made the effort to chronicle the event in pictures and have been kind enough to share them.

Bentley are planning an SUV There was a time, not too long ago, when there was a reasonable expectation that most car makers would, at some point, deliver up an SUV. Yes, there was even talk of a Bentley SUV. But the global meltdown and the global-warmists seemed to have put paid to the concept of an off-road luxury everything, so we all forgot about the SUV plans gathering dust in every car designer’s cupboard.

Skoda has revealed prices and specifications for the new Octavia which will cost from £14,990 rising to £23,240. The new Skoda Octavia – Skoda’s new Octavia built on the new VW Golf platform – was revealed last month and goes on sale in March, so Skoda have had their abacus out to work out how much they want for a piece of new Octavia action. Starting point is the Octavia 1.2 TSi S which will cost £15,990, with the cheapest diesel – the Octavia 1.6 TDI S – starting at £18,040 and the range topping out with the Octavia 2.0 litre diesel Elegance at £23,240.
