Audi to build cars that can predict the future

Audi is hoping to make traffic jams, parking and city centre navigation much easier with a new suite of technology called Audi Urban Intelligent Assist (AUIA), while Audi traffic Light Online helps you avoid red traffic lights. Combining the work of its own Electronics Research Laboratory in Silicon Valley with four leading US research universities, the eventual aim is that this new technology will essentially be able to predict the future. Max Mosley continues as FIA president

By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 03 June 2008 12:52 Max Mosley will continue as FIA president after member clubs today voted overwhelmingly in his favour. At the meeting in Paris, Mosley received 103 votes supporting a ‘motion of confidence in the FIA President’. A further 55 votes were cast in opposition to the motion, while there were also seven abstentions and four invalid votes in the secret ballot cast by FIA member clubs.

The Roewe 350 is the first model built atop parent company SAIC's new A-class platform. At first sight, there appears considerable overlap with this latest model and the Roewe 550, but the 350's 2650mm wheelbase and overall length of 4521mm is roughly 100mm shorter than the 550.
