Subaru has launched the Impreza Diesel in the UK The Impreza is a great car, and slotting in the 2.0-litre Boxer Diesel is a move designed to get the Impreza a whole new market, especially as it’s coming in at a round decent Golf money – a nice round £20,000 for the Impreza 2.0D RC. The 2.0 litre boxer diesel outputs 150bhp and 258lb/ft of torque, and can do 0-60 mph in 8.8 seconds and on to 127 mph. It does 47.1 mpg and emits 155g/km CO2.

According to our industry contacts, Lo resigned as Director of Advanced Design at General Motors Europe, handing in his papers yesterday morning. He is now set to become Vice President of Exterior Design at Renault, working under recently appointed Design Director Laurens van den Acker.

And although the CLC is based on the current C-class-derived Sports Coupe, Merc hopes that the 1100 new or revised components will make the car a serious challenger to the BMW 1-series coupe.
