Eterniti Hemera - updated with a new nose and more back seat space Boutique car maker Eterniti has updated their Porsche Cayenne Turbo custom job – the Eterniti Hemera – before a launch in April 2012 at Beijing, and teased an Eterniti supercar. The Eterniti Hemera first showed itself at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year after a raft of enigmatic teases about a new luxury car brand. And when it turned up it looked just like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo on which it’s based, albeit with some Gemballa-esque mods.

A render of the 2013 McLaren F1 / 799 (click for full size photo) It’s more than two years since we revealed that McLaren are planning on building a McLaren F1 road car for the 21st century. Planned to bring game-changing performance to the hypercar market, it will be McLaren’s halo car, sitting above the 458 Italia-bashing MP4-12C, and the yet-to-come McLaren which is aimed at the Porsche 911 and Audi R8. What exactly McLaren are planning with the new F1 – which may be called the McLaren 799 – is still hidden deep in the minds and computers of McLaren’s elite.

Film Friday: Auburn Speedster tackles the Bonneville Salt Flats

Inspired by a recent trip to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Ind. (more to come on that soon!), we're diving into the historical film archives for some A-C-D goodness. And it doesn't really get any better than vintage footage of the classic Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster tearing up the Bonneville Salt Flats circa 1935 followed by a demonstration of the big Duesenberg streamliner, “The Mormon Meteor” thundering across the lake bed.
