This is Ferrari’s revised California, which will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2012. The California caused quite a stir when it was launched, ushering in a whole host of firsts for Ferrari: it was the company’s first convertible with a folding metal roof; the first with a double-clutch gearbox, the first front-engined V8 Ferrari, and the first with direct-injection engine technology.

Rock Legend Swaps Microphone For Classic Racing Mini

NOT content with belting out hard rock tunes, AC/DC front man Brian Johnson will son be charging around Croft racing circuit at the wheel of a classic Mini. The rock great is scheduled to compete at Croft’s Nostalgia Weekend (2-3 August), which the circuit is describing as an irresistible blend of fast cars, wheel-to-wheel racing, vintage music and dress. Johnson will take to the circuit in the Historic Touring Cars class behind the wheel of a 1964 Mini Cooper that he purchased late last year after driving it in his television series ‘Cars That Rock With Brian Johnson’.

RM Monaco sale tallies $43,410,615

RM Auctions sold 87 percent of the lots it offered at its Monaco sale held last weekend at the Grimaldi Forum. The result was $43,410,615 in total sales, with six lots bringing more than $2 million and 10 lots bringing more than $1 million. A 1957 Ferrari 625 TRC Spider drew the biggest bid, selling for $6,469,848.
