Vintage Automotive Drop Light With Wooden Handle - Rewired - Working - Look - on 2040-parts.com
Brentwood, New York, US
Vintage automotive / industrial drop light with wooden handle in very good clean condition. This was found at an estate sale garage with years of dirt, grime, grease, blown bulb, with only about a foot of wire and no plug. It has been cleaned but not restored, the grease and grime are gone but the patina is still there showing use but no abuse. The wooden handle, cage and light socket are original but the drop light has been completely rewired with an up to date 12 foot cord along with a new 100 watt bulb. The drop light itself is 12 inches long with a letter "M" hand-carved into the lower handle, the letter is not a makers mark but the originals owners initial. This would be a very nice add on to any vintage car's trunk, vintage garage or man cave, shipping worldwide, ask questions and thank you always for looking.

RCA Citroen/Exa Double Challenge project
Fri, 11 Feb 2011Second year students at the Royal College of Art in London revealed a series of projects at their interim degree show last week. Developed in collaboration with French automaker Citroen and the Exa Corporation, a leading supplier of aerodynamic software, the Double Challenge project asked students to design an ultra-compact model that could establish a unique Citroën e-vehicle aesthetic for the future, all while adhering to certain aerodynamic criteria that would not only reduce energy consumption and ensure stability at speed, but also visually communicate efficiency through its design. The project, which kicked off in October last year, was closely followed by representatives from Citroen and Exa, who examined each of the projects and chose a winner, Heikki Juvonen, at the event last week.

Further clips show the chaos caused when all three lanes of a motorway are closed to retrieve tyre debris, and the eye-watering £2 million cost of a lorry fire caused by tyre failure results in all six lanes of a motorway being shut for hours.

Currently, ahead of the final production hybrids being signed-off, Land Rover are, as we’ve already reported, busy driving the Silk Trail to Mumbai to put the Range Rover Hybrids through their paces and iron out any problems that crop up. The first stage of the Silk Trail 2013 trek was mainly across Europe where, although urban landscapes tested the hybrid’s economy and flexibility, there wasn’t too much in the way of challenging terrain to make sure the hybrid Range Rover was up to muster.
