Up for bids is a new pair of vintage style round head chrome fender or door mounted mirrors, left and right, complete with hardware. These are more like the original old Yankee mirrors for a retro look. The heads are chrome plated steel and the bases are plastic. The heads are fully adjustable and can be tightened in all different positions. They can be added to most any car. The mounting holes are 4" apart. The hardware is contained within the bases. Footballer dangerous driving trial

A FORMER PREMIER LEAGUE footballer is to go on trial today charged with dangerous driving after a three-car crash left a motorist with a fractured elbow. Ex-Sheffield United striker Marlon King is alleged to have committed the offence on his 33rd birthday while driving a Porsche Panamera on the A46 in Nottinghamshire last April. A 35-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after the collision at Winthorpe, near Newark, which was witnessed by an off-duty police officer on the afternoon of April 26.

College for Creative Studies provost, design guru dies

Imre Molnar, the longtime academic chief at the prestigious College for Creative Studies in Detroit, died Dec. 28 of a heart attack while bicycle riding in California, the school announced. He was 61 years old.

The 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed started with a bang--and a bent Jaguar E-Type. But by the end of the weekend, the festival was being acclaimed by both fans and participants as one of the most successful runnings of the annual event so far. As always, the festival took place at the house and grounds of Lord March's sizeable estate in West Sussex, England, being extended to four days this year by the addition of a new “Moving Motorshow.” This is clearly intended to become a regular fixture and a replacement for Britain's cancelled “International” motor show.
