Up for auction is a vintage police motorcycle helmet in fair condition that I purchased from the original owner (retired police officer.) I think this is from the 70's, but I'm not really sure. The outer portion of the helmet is in very good condition, but the inside needs new foam padding and liner. You can also make a padded piece and put it in the helmet before putting it on. The size looks like an extra large, but may be the same or smaller when the padding and liner are put in. These police helmets look real cool when riding. If you've been looking for one real cheap and are handy making things, then this may be for you. There is no warranty expressed or implied and you are buying this "as is." It is non-returnable. Shipping is flat rate. thanks for looking.

Kubrick's Jaguar memories: XJ12s and more

Once upon a time there was a small boy, about seven years old, who had taken an interest in cars at a rather early stage, mainly thanks to his old man, who was (and, thankfully, still is) a car enthusiast and, back in those days, a staunch supporter of a certain Southern German marque. This naturally meant that the small boy would sometimes be a bit annoyed by his father's occasionally overbearing passion, but at the same time usually knit his eyebrows himself whenever he came across something sporting four wheels but no blue & white propeller (which, he believed, was the way things were supposed to be). So the foundations had been laid to turn this very young chap into a proper petrolhead one day, but his interest remained relatively casual and moderate until that one fateful evening.
