The CAR Pubcast: which is the best supercar of 2010?

Mon, 17 May 2010

Welcome to the inaugural CAR Pubcast™ – where you can hear the CAR Magazine team debate the greatest supercars of 2010. It's to accompany a feature in the new June 2010 issue of CAR, out this week and you can hear the bread rolls being thrown as we argue over the fastest cars to grace our pages this year. The cover story is The Supercar World Cup, as we travel around the world in our endeavour to anoint the year's greatest supercar: the ones that get us drooling, set our pulses racing and make us buy an extra lottery ticket, just in case.

New Mercedes A Class: A 180 BlueEFFICIENCY Edition models launch

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Mercedes are launching two new eco versions of the new A Class – the A 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Edition and A 180 BlueEFFICIENCY Edition. Mercedes has had a play with the aerodynamics on the new A Class to lower the Cd value from an already very low 0.27 to 0.26 by partially covering the upper section of the radiator grill, adding aerodynamically shaped spring link coverings that improve the flow of air along the underbody at the rear axle and lowering the suspension by 15mm. Mercedes has also tweaked the generator management for more efficiency and had a play with the gearbox to make the ratios longer (which will help economy, but won’t do much for responsiveness).
