Up for auction: Vintage Sony corp. Car Stereo Cassette Player with Auto-reverse. Under-dash installation, with dust cover for face, original paperwork, warranty card, inspection card, service manual, owner's manual, original box.All in excellent condition. Service manual dated Oct. 2,1972. This is a beautiful unit, never installed, just removed from the box for pictures only. High end model for the time, what a blast from the past for your classic car. Please be advised, although this unit has never been installed there is a belt that may need to be replaced because of the age of this NOS unit. I have not tested this unit but should be fine. Made in Tokyo, Japan.

A flood of new-model introductions this year will help pump sales volume for the industry, according to forecasts from J.D. Power and Associates. Automakers have scheduled 60 new or substantially redesigned model introductions this year, compared with just 36 in 2010, by Power's count.

Honda will equip its current Civic hatch with a 1.6-litre diesel engine from early in 2013. The engine is, Honda claims, the cleanest, most frugal engine in its class, and will offer diesel Civic buyers up to 78.5mpg, according to the company's figures. The downsized 1.6 derv will also see duty in the new CR-V soft-roader later on in 2013.

Electric-car startup Coda Holdings Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Tuesday after producing just 100 of its EV sedans, according to a report from Reuters. Coda filed with U.S.
