It is so hard to photograph chrome - let's just get this out there!

I shot this vintage VW hub cap twice trying to depict it true to its condition. I am thinking that my textual description will assist you in describing its true form.

There is very little rust on the front. It has some dents. The chrome is flaking and there is rusting underneath. Please look closely at the photos.

The upshot of this is that it has such a classic look. Maybe the imperfections can be fixed to some extent. If not, it still has appeal.

It is really a nice piece of automobile history. I am currently selling three similar hub caps and this one is in the best condition.

Size: 10 inches W by 1 1/2 inches D

CDN recently spent a day sampling Hyundai’s new i40 Tourer, which has just been launched in Europe. For the launch, Hyundai invited us to Waddesdon Manor, the home of the Rothschild banking family and a venue that has been used for previous Louis Vuitton events. It has recently added a new art gallery with fabulous views across rolling countryside, and contains work by Anish Kapoor, Michael Craig-Martin and bronzes by Angus Fairhurst.

Mazda 2 (2007): first official pictures

Wed, 14 Feb 2007

By Jack Carfrae First Official Pictures 14 February 2007 12:07 Mazda 2: the first sight Mazda will show this new 2 supermini at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Details are so sketchy, that this photo is all we’ve seen. It draws heavily on the Sassou concept of 2005, with its sweptback glasshouse and rising beltline, like its Yaris and Corsa rivals.
